a (true) christmas tale

Some years ago my uncle died and my aunt fell on hard times.  To help her out I let her move into my late mother’s house, rent-free.

Before this we hadn’t been real close but now I got introduced to her circle of friends: this is Joe, Mary, Pete, Eileen, Bill, etc.  A lot of new names and faces.

It wasn’t until the next Christmas that one of the advantages became known.  A certain card arrived that took pride of place amongst all the others.

It’s not everyone that gets a Christmas card signed Mary & Joseph !

Merry Christmas everyone.  May you all get (nearly) everything you wish for.
