   i love the idea of a party and i love giving pressies. if i could i would give

   for fossil a marlin fishing trip.

   for the doc a vegetarian cook book.

   for littlemiss a whoopee cushion.

   for batigol10 the jules rimet trophy.

   for all the council bashers a new council. might not be better.

   for shadow a hug.

   for shadowmaster a razor.

   for hg some slippers. with attitude.

   for lady c the beatles white album. in negative.

   for bill a copy of darwins on the origin of species.

   for the big fella a massage and a helicopter.

   for viva a holiday on a tropical isle.

   for goldie just love really. and a dress allowance.

   for winnie some relaxation therapy. and a case of wine.

   for matty a glimpse of my ankle. i dont think he needs any more.

   for anyone I may have missed a bottle of their favourite plus best wishes for a good time.

   for dave my undying love.

   i know the last is a bit of a copout but hes got me. what else does he need.

   For Shadow a pig’s ear (apparently they’re like chocolate for dogs)
   For Shadowmaster a Kevin07 t-shirt… (kidding)… actually a shop for him to decorate (if I was rich, of course).
   For Marywalsh a house not in Glen Eira.
   For Hannahsgrampa a tiny videocamera to keep in his hat and “sousveillance” people.
   For Mercy a Sisters of Mercy album
   For Bill a contract with a TV station to make Passage of the Day a 5 min TV segment every day.
   For Big Fella a set of leg irons to make the convict experience even more authentic
   For Viva, a Guess handbag (kidding). I know, I know - cold hard cash
   For Golden1, Alain and the kiddies, a reservation for four at the finest, most organickest restaurant in Melbourne, or Perth, depending on where they are.
   For Winnie a red swing to hang from a tree and swing on whenever a top up of joy is needed.
   For Gadfly a particularly nice hat to wear to the races (next year?)
   For Matty a pair of Roo Shoes
   For Nebsy (my twin) a magnum… as in both the gun and ice cream.
   And for anyone I’ve forgotten… delicious Christmas shortbread.

   Some of you may believe that I am not in the habit of giving gifts. This is not true, albeit some of my gifts may have been ill-received !

   So, my virtual presents:

   For Fossil - a Toyota Prius.

   For Bill - an original Vulgate Bible. “Audiens sapiens sapientior erit et intellegens gubernacula possidebit”.

   For marywalsh - a copy of Journal of Resistance, by Mikis Theodorakis. “Art — this art which is ours — is our strength, our trump card. Our oppressors have chains. We have songs.”

   For mercy (and dave) - a weekend (or week) at the destination of their choice. (Not to be confused with the bogus raffle prize “ A dinner for two to be taken anywhere in the world” which turned out to be two 24 hour army ration packs!). And, if dave permits, a bottle green silk chemise.

   For The Shadow - a large T-bone, with steak attached. And an all expenses paid trip to somewhere inside the Arctic Circle to meet his distant relations.

   For his Master - a softness of voice and a softening of attitude. And, of course, the aforementioned trip. The Shadow will need a valet.

   For Winnierose - canvas, lots of canvas; plus any amount of artist’s requisites.

   For Lady Chaos – a black Jaguar (car or cat, whichever is preferable).

   For Vivavoce - a brake on her emotions, an automatic avatar generator, and I guess some gold would be welcome too.

   For tours1 – an unlimited advertising budget. He obviously enjoys his work, and his country, so much.

   For Golden1 – an organ. (I’m afraid I can’t be more organic than that).

   And for anyone I may have missed - a bottle of Penfolds Grange to imbibe or invest as they wish.

   Naturally, I would prefer nothing in return; my own tastes being somewhat, er, peculiar.

   Seasons Greetings to everyone, if there is a Nook grinch I would rather it was not myself.
