toothpaste rant
Published 1 year, 4 months ago in My life.There was a time when you could roll up the end of your toothepaste tube as you used it. Now it comes in some sort of deformable plastic tube. When its half empty and you squeeze the middle the toothepaste goes down to the bottom instead of out of the top and the last 20% is impossible to get out without a vice. Its all a cunning ploy to get us to buy more !

Was there a little thingy that attatched to the old style toothpast tube to help you roll it up or am I just dreaming. he he he
I cut it in half & scrap it out (my mother taught me to be thrifty)
little miss- keeper of the giggles, there was a time when sardine cans were opened with a key. Same principle as the tooth paste.
PS the he he he was a great touch keeper of giggles. Well done.

I remember as a child using such a key on my toothpaste. Although I also remember contless times of toothpaste wasting by using the key. My mother would from time to time catch my brother and myself playing with the toothpaste key and finding toothpaste all over the bathroom. Childhood messy play, now that is to be cherished.
I like vivavoce’s solution to a gummy problem….thrifty indeed….Never thought of that!
It’s not just toothpaste, my shaving cream is the same!!!!!!!!!
