Passage of the Day 020307

Greetings to all my fellow travelers on the rocky, dusty pathway of life.  To the grafters and the schemers, to the lovers and the dreamers.  To all who toil to make this land a happier place.  I have chosen as today’s passage an extract from Hippocrites himself.

As you probably all know, Hippocrites was a great philosopher and sawbones of his time.  Some of you may even recall the Hippocritic Oath:

“Physician, heal thyself.  And don’t forget to charge exorbitantly for the service.”

And so we move on to today’s passage, knowledge that has crossed the vast, yawning chasms of time to be presented to us today that we might benefit from his infinite wisdom:

“The best cure for seasickness is to sit under a tree.”
