Passage of the Day 220207

G’day mates,

Within my notes there are many types of literature written by many writers over a long period of time, and yes, it is totally inconsistent from beginning to end.

Today’s passage is taken from the book of Jude the Pseud, the eternal optimist and pessimist for whom the glass was forever half broken (or at least cracked!).

Jude spent most of his life debating with himself how we ought to spell ought but in the end he didn’t think that ought would come of it.

Jude’s philosophy can be accurately summed up in his final verse:  Jude the Pseud, Chapter 1, Verse 1:

“Work is the curse of the drinking classes.”

 Discuss.

hannahsgranpa. Ubergrumpy old man with no sense of humour. Cultured, gifted and infinitely modest. My philosophy, like colour television, is all there in black and white. Life's too short to be serious.
